The Dock at Garden Island, Sydney is critical to providing the sustainment activities needed by the RAN to successfully achieve their mission. Valve 10 failed unexpectedly resulting to a 30% reduction in dock flooding capacity.
The Thales team recently removed and replaced one of the Captain Cook Graving Dock鈥檚 20-tonne main flooding valves. The large-scale operation, years in the making, has significantly enhanced the flooding and draining capabilities of the dock.
